Burmese-American pianist Austin B. Chen has been immersed in the realm of music education for over a decade. He was appointed Piano Instructor at Teachers College, Columbia University and founded two private music institutions in Los Angeles, California and New York City, New York where he was head piano faculty.
Mr. Chen has has appeared throughout the United States and abroad for extensive concerts and competitions. He received prizes from many international piano competitions and has appeared with orchestras throughout the United States. His performances have grasped enthusiastic responses from audiences and critics, hailing his interpretations as "breathtaking and unforgettable with full of thunderous turmoil". As a result of his accomplishments, Austin has performed at notable venues such as Carnegie Hall in NY, Ehrbar Saal in Vienna, and Großes Haus Staatsteater in Germany. He was also featured on the World Journal, Pacific Times, Global Chinese Times, International Daily News, Deutschland Braunschweiger Zeitung, and Sky Link TV.
Austin received his education from the University for Music in Hannover, Germany and graduated from the prestigious Juilliard School and Columbia University. He remains committed to sharing his passion for music and inspiring others through his performances and teaching endeavors.
